October 9th, 2021, marked the beginning of our MBA journey. We gathered in a single classroom, faces adorned with a mixture of excitement and confusion. We had a mere half-hour of orientation that day, and there were eleven bewildered expressions in the room.
Fast forward to September 14th, 2023, our final day of the MBA program. The clock ticked, signaling the end of this remarkable chapter in our lives. Now, we proudly stand as thirty MBA graduates (hopefully!) ready to embark on our professional journeys.

On that first day of orientation, we were forewarned that our academic pursuits wouldn’t confine us to the four walls of a classroom. They couldn’t have been more accurate, though little did they anticipate that we’d practically go missing in action for the most part. If only they had foreseen this twist, that initial statement might have been delivered with a hint of irony.
Over the past two years, I’ve grown accustomed to several constants that I’m sure my fellow classmates can relate to. There’s Amritesh sir, checking in with his customary “Ms. Kabra, kaisi hain aap?”. There’s Dolly ma’am, inquiring about our schedules with her signature “tumhaari requirement aayi hai.” Aman sir makes his quarterly appearance, inquiring, “Fees ho gayi jama?”. And of course, Sumita ma’am’s timeless reminder to “Students, start attending classes.” And how can I forget Anupriya ma’am reminding us how waiting for last minute won’t help us get the answers during exams. Oh, how I’m going to miss these familiar routines.
I’ve often found myself in situations where I had to explain to people how an event management degree actually functions. We don’t just study; we work actively in the field. And despite being away from college for most part of the degree, it somehow still feels like home.
As each moment passes, I can’t help but echo the sentiments of Andy Bernard when he said, “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.”
The two-year MBA journey has blessed me with a family of incredibly talented event planners. By the way, they’re available to plan your wedding too! (Just slide into my DMs, and I’ll connect you with the perfect fit!)

Until next time, signing off,
Student of the Year,
MBA’21.
